Hold da phone! What’s going on here?

Today I have stationary back on my new iPhone.

And it’s the correct Summer theme stationary.

    Celebrate?

Well Today is May 15, 2024. Six months since employees at Yahoo Mail! told executives that no one uses Stationary and so they received approval to kill the feature. This evening stationary is finally gone from both my iPhones.

6 months it took people to get rid of something I used daily.
Not a peep from Yahoo Leadership. Not a peep from anyone who was telling the lie.

Yahoo Mail is free people for a reason. Look at the Yahoo Leadership Team. Do you see a Yahoo Mail executive? No. It does not bring in revenue so they are gutting it. That is why they are also removing functionality and they owe you nothing.

Yahoo Mail is now the worst mail client. There is no benefit to it at all.

RIP Yahoo Mail! the next generation thew you in the trash so they could be richer.

Yahoo Mai! Date of Death May 15, 2024.

    Caralee,

Do you have access to the stationary via the app Yahoo Mail!
Do you have an Android driven mobile phone or an Apple driven mobile phone?

    Hi Holly,

Well according to Yahoo they ran reports, they found usage low, so they removed the functionality.

What we know is any reports were wrong, i.e. the reports only included mail.yahoo.com. The reports did not the app Yahoo Mail! AND the app Yahoo News.

used to be able to do mail from the app Yahoo News. There was always a disconnect between the two Yahoo Teams and the two apps would double the amount of storage on a persons mobile phone and over write each other's setup.

If the reports were correct then the days or weeks after they took away the functionality they would and should have run the reports again to validate they did what was asked.

As of today Feb 28 I and many still have stationary on our mobile devices.

Someone is lying to the general public and potentially to Yahoo Leadership.

But there's no way to get the attention of the 1% in their condo towers, by us down here on the ground.

Mr. Susan...I would like to talk to you or anyone about this Stationary issue because I too have stationary on 2 of my iPhones.

Unfortunately Yahoo does not allow its user community to connect or share information here.

I cannot even tell you my email @yahoo.com.
An email that I have had as part of me @yahoo.com for over 20 years.

All those year with stationary too.

    Sincerely,

I still have stationary on IPhone11 and iPhone 15. YEAH!

Can we talk about how boring Yahoo has become. I mean talk about the lack of color choices for labeling your different mailboxes. Did the person only have a box of 6 Crayola growing up? So sad.

It's strange how Yahoo! had developed it's own stationary backgrounds just last year or in 2022.
If Yahoo! was creating its own stationary just so recently then why would they have done that for an item they knew they would be eliminating? I think they wanted to stop paying the vendor who supplied the stationary, tried to create their own but it was not popular, and so to save cost, and analyst time then ran some fake reports on usage, showed them to others, and they then had an excuse to pull stationary from the website. I STILL HAVE STATIONARY AND GIFS ON MY MOBILE IOS DEVICE. :-)

If you use a mobile phone then you may still have stationary like I do. They did not get rid of it from everyone only some.

I don’t know why everyone else doesn’t have stationary or gifs. I have both on two mobile phones and I’ve had them since forever.

So I got a new iPhone, a 15, and I still have my old iPhone 11. The iPhone 11 continues to have December/January Winter stationary available to me for use via the app Yahoo Mail.

My roommate and I checked just after the new year my new iPhone 15 and it did not have stationary at all with the app Yahoo Mail.

Today when I looked at my iPhone 15 and the app Yahoo Mail I have stationary and it's the Woman's Empowerment stationary and the Black History Month stationary. The correct stationary for the time of the year.

They did not get rid of stationary due to lack of use. They got rid of stationary because they do not know how to make it work reliably. The employees complained that it was burdensome and then everyone convinced themselves to end the relationship and stop stationary.

    ALL FACTS!

From Yahoo: We know this is not the answer you want to hear, but we no longer support Stationery or GIFs. Unfortunately, it was not a popular feature from our Community. We did a lot of analysis before coming to this decision. blah blah blah blah.

Me: The reporting and analysis was flawed. I may not have been enough to matter in the long run, but it was flawed. I still have stationary on my iPhone 11 via the app Yahoo Mail! That tells me I am one of many who were using the stationary for birthday's and holidays, when the holiday feature worked. It's been stuck in Christmas Season mode since Nov 2022. And I have been trying to tell Yahoo but been unsuccessful due to Yahoo arrogance that the know better.

If I can still do stationary via Yahoo Mail then you did not count me in that analysis therefore you might have missed a lot of people.

Ultimately this comes down toYahoo did not want to support this workflow and did not want to pay PaperSource. That' why there were new Yahoo stationary options.

Oh my god. If Yahoo produced data reports based on how many people chose the Yahoo stationary and presented that as the reason it is not being used then there are employees who are liars to leadership. Something does not smell right about this analysis.

I still have Stationary on my iPhone 11 and I have had the same Stationary since Fall 2022. The data of Yahoo maybe flawed because if I still can do Stationary then how was I counted and included in that data? If Stationary is gone and they run the same report then do they see me as only user? IT and Repotting and Yahoo are not telling the truth.

I still have and use Stationary on my iPhone 11. And I informed Yahoo! that their report if data that suggests it’s not widely used has to be flawed because I can still use ststionary,

    Hello,

Are your emails on your personal backup system?
If no then it's your own fault that you cannot access your messages.
If yes then what does your local IT guy say about your backups?

Do you currently pay Yahoo Mail! ?
If no then they do not have to keep emails for eternity. That would be really selfish of users.
If yes then there is some expectation that you should get assistance but since you are here I'm guessing you do not pay.

    Hello,

This is not an issue with Yahoo or the Yahoo Mail application.

Yahoo Mail is HTML created email.
Your Word or Excel or other program created content is RTF created.

There is a huge difference and Yahoo cannot change the internet to eliminate HTML email.
If you do not like HTML email creation then you need to find an RTF email creating application.

Even if you have RTF email the recipient may not be able to see it as you do.
If you want people to see things as you do then you insert a screen scot graphic. Not actual data.

And you should be testing your sent emails by sending them to your gmail account, your aol account, your ISP account like @verizon.net or @comcast.net account, and your icloud.com account just as I do so I know what the recipient may or may not receive from my created email.

    Hello...

In Yahoo's defense it sounds like we do not understand that Yahoo Mail is HTML email not RTF email.

With HTML emails, something Yahoo has no control over, the Enter or Return key when pressed once returns a double line. That's all companies who have HTML email because it is governed by the HTML language of the internet.

If you want a single line not a double line then you must use SHIFT ENTER or SHIFT RETURN. Using this key combination means the lines above will follow any new line formatting. So if you indent then all above indent. This too is not a Yahoo controllable thing.

If you want to control those line breaks as you think a type writer would then I suggest getting an app or program that does RTF formatting.

And as with all emails sent to anyone, if you are not sending your email to yourself at another different email account, as a Bcc for every message or just periodically, then you have no idea how your emails are looking to the recipient.

I send my emails to 4 other email vendors and review the emails on their systems before I email others. This way I some idea how their end interprets what I am sending, not what Yahoo Mail is sending.

    Hello,

I'm not sure what changed for you but I have always had 4 different email box folders in my Yahoo Mail setup and I like it that way, separated.

1 folder is my Yahoo Mail address which I use for junk email.
1 folder is my AOL Mail address for personal use.
1 folder is my Gmail address for personal professional use.
1 folder is my ISP or Comcast.net address which I get with my ISP and I need to manage.

I like them separated as I can then easily delete emails and reply to important emails.

The users who receive my emails see Mr. first name middle initial last name, which is my @yahoo.com account.

When recipients hit reply then the email address they believe the email was from yahoo, google, aol, or comcast.net appears in the To field of their reply message.

So if I am replying to a Google Mail message in Yahoo Mail then the recipient will see the Google Mail email account when they press Reply. They will not see the Yahoo Mail email address. And since I say always display Mr John G. Amero then that is what they see when they get an email from me.

    Hello...

I am trying to understand the other Commenters.

The free app, and free email, and free articles are being bitched about because someone wants to bully and bash the articles and cannot.

    Does that sound correct?

It sounds like children circumvented the age restriction/parental restrictions on the device.

Is the suggestion to place Child guards on all apps so children cannot post hate?

    Thank you.

    Hello...

IF you are using the app Yahoo Mail on an Apple Mobile Phone then in the lower right corner, where those three dots are, will have a menu and access to Contacts.

IF you are using the app Yahoo on an Apple Mobile Phone then in the upper left corner, where a circle exists, tap that circle to access the menu and Contacts will be visible to you unless you have none.

IF you are using an iPad then try the above for both apps.

IF you still cannot see the Contacts then please go to the Apple App Store to make sure you have the updated versions of the apps. I see Contacts with both apps.

In the future please provide specifics of your device up front, IOS is too vague, and provide a statement that you did check and you are all updated. It saves time because THIS IS FREE while I lose my home so others can have FREE STUFF.

Because you did not specify anything you forced myself, or someone else, to do more work than necessary. Free analysis, free answers, free work, free apps, and free email and Americans still are ungrateful.

    Good day.

    Hello.

What has your business’s IT Support Analyst said the issue could be?

If you do not pay someone currently then you should seriously think about getting one.

To help get an answer to your question (more free stuff) can you tell us:

    - Have you tried to log into your email at https://mail.yahoo.com?
    What happens?

    - Have you sent an email from your other email accounts to the Yahoo email account?
    What happens?

    - Are you having problem with the app Yahoo?
    What happens?

I will try to send to you an email from my Yahoo and Google Mail accounts to see if I get any errors.

Fascinating. I realize this is America and that means you can tell me and everyone to go kill themselves if they don’t like what is said.

But what purpose does it serve to complain about the content from a company offering something for free?

I have the Fox News in order to compare information. You do not see me posting on their app “*** news. Your staff should starve to death.”

As President Trump says “If you don’t like it ignore it.”

Keep wishing people kill themselves because you don’t like something means one of your family members will kill the selves one day.

It’s a free app. Stop melting.
