Fix reply and forward functions, which sometimes allow only ONE LINE responses
In recent weeks I've come to realize that the Reply and Forward functions no longer operate reliably. On some occasions when using one of these I'll type a salutation, then hit return to type the message, and find that I can only type ONE LINE. These are pretty basic functions and I see no common thread for why they sometimes just halt. Later I may go into Drafts and be able to continue (or not), but this is happening fairly often, so it needs to be addressed.

Have you tried to use Shift-Enter to create a new line?

Here are two fixes:
1) refresh the page. It works with Firefox browser.
2) Also, you can copy a "return" from another email or in a Word document, then paste that into your email. -

Fix the whole COMPOSE operation! I found a workaround for the one-line only problem, but it is time-consuming, and may make Yahoo use more space on its servers: I can space forward several spaces, then select and copy the row of spaces I just made, and paste them repeatedly until I have a workspace that is open for me. But I'm afraid that might cost Yahoo more, and they will frustrate THAT solution, too. How 'bout it, Yahoo ... don't make us do this annoying stupid stuff just to get access to the Compose screen for more than one liners. It's distracting and annoying!

FIX ALL COMPOSE FUNCTIONS, (not just Reply and Forward). Stop preventing easy formatting. I can find workarounds, but it interferes with thinking about what I'm composing. So it takes me longer to put my thoughts across, because it takes extra time to figure out how to arrange the lines I want.
VERY FRUSTRATING. And it feels as if it is AIMED at the people who pay for an ad-free wide screen. -

Fix "COMPOSE" functions, which allow only ONE LINE.
THIS MAKES ME CRAZY! I like to format emails for easy reading, but Yahoo! seems to want me to limit them to ONE LINE. If Yahoo! does not allow me to communicate, I will have to change to another provider.
PLEASE don't make me do that. This has been going on for some time, and I am tired of trying to figure out workarounds! -

Me too! I have discovered that if a refresh the page, it's fixed. For a little while. I thought it was a Firefox thing, but it's not. It's a Yahoo bug.
Alternate fix: copy a "return" and paste it several times. Then you'll have to use the down arrow key to go to the next paragraph, b/c the copy/paste doesn't fix the issue. It's just a way around the issue. (You can find this return at the end of any email paragraph or at the end of a Word document paragraph.)

This is driving me crazy, too. I tried opening Yahoo Mail in Microsoft Edge and it works a little better, but it still does it! I usually have to close all of my browsers to get it to re-set. Ridiculous - and as you said, such a basic function.
