Allow individual news source filtering
The NYT constantly pushes victim stories. CNN, the AP, and MSNBC sound like constant streams of quotes from Marx, Lenin, Engels, and Piketty. Fox News and the NY Post invariably push counterfactual content written by morons for the consumption of idiots. We must have the option to remove this brain damaging content. Enough of this tribalism!

Article style feed
I will not continue to use the app unless it introduces an option for an Article style feed that uses AI to learn my preferences and tailor article selections to them. A news feed powered by an algorithm, with minimal categories and heuristics. Maximum sources, minimal friction. You get it.

The National Review feed hasn’t been updated in a number of months.
I noticed that content on the National Review feed no longer seems to be updated as of roughly eight months ago. For reference, Kevin McCarthy was still the House Speaker when the most recent articles were published. Is this a bug or does Yahoo no longer have a relationship with NR? If the latter, that’s a shame for thoughtful viewpoint diversity on the platform. Otherwise, love the app!

“Local News” needs to be more targeted. I live in Cook County IL which includes the City of Chicago. So “local” is only NW suburban of cook

Today my “local news” feed consisted solely of an article listing the 2022 college honors students from Kendall County IL - 100% irrelevant to me!

No cell phone or tablet

Zoom into pictures
Pictures within stories can’t be zoomed in on iOs devices. Gestures and double taps have no effect. Please make images zoomable.

User comments improvement
Comment organization needs improvement. The ability to see all your own posts in one place. The ability to view linked comments, without the need to page through 59 pages of unrelated comments. Clicking on a comment should bring up the comment related to it sorted by time stamp.

The news article about Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston movie bodyguard stating there was issues about casting because she was black, IS NOT what Costner said, this article title is tooken way out of context and someone just reading the headlines think oh just another racist story, this is why people think white people are racist. Pathetic, Yu can come up with a better title.
