Rejecting of comments
Telling someone that their comment was meanspirited, should have not resulted with a rejection to post. There are some insulting and demeaning comments that definitely should have been rejected, but weren't. But, Hey Yahoo, it's your platform! I'm out!
Hello. While we cannot speak about specific comments, policy interpretations, or actions action in relation to specific comments outside of with their original poster, we seek to apply the Yahoo Community Guidelines as evenly, fairly, and objectively as possible.

evidently I am banned from responding to news. Never told why since I do not swear or suggested any violent response. If I could eliminate yahoo I would but have been a user for decades and have the email.

explain why you reject posts that are 100% copy and pasted from the article ?
if someone misses something in an article, and someone posts the relevant section, are you afraid they may take it as an insult or what ? -

When you arbitrarily reject a comment after the fact, you used to tell us which comment it was. by not doing that you are silencing speech. Why did you stop showing the comment? Most of the time we are getting rejected for a single word and we have no idea why. Either update your algorithm to highlight the offending word so we can edit it on the spot, or show us the comment so we can reapply it with an edit. and considering the hatred i see from left leaning comments especially in your thread, you are not censoring everyone.

On every news article I try to comment on, I get a "Your comment failed to publish" no matter how many times I try to resubmit or hit "Retry." What's going on?

If you morons are gonna say my comments violate your bulls*** policy then cite the part of the policy that I am violating. Don't just send me an email that says my appeal was rejected. Liberal pukes!

I have been commenting to news articles for years, without problems, but not able to for about a week or so. I have tried in several articles this past week without success.

I have not been able to post in the comments to news articles for about a week, and don't know why my comments will not publish.

YAHOO: Fix your algorithm or hire human beings to police comments. Your rejections have run amuck.
Today's news featured the heartwarming story, "Cat-astrophe diverted: Family reunited with cat after they accidentally ship it out with return."
My response was somehow rejected: "This is the kind of story that takes the dread out of opening my laptop to take in the news. Big Thanks to author Becca Wood for a purrrfect start to my day!"
I'm speechless!

Everyone has an opinion, and they don't always align. But to silence so many peoples post or comments due to the fact that they don't align with your extreme leftists views! My comment singled no one out, was respectful to all and violated no rules or laws. But since you want to portray only the extreme lefts views, you silence those who RESPECTFULLY give another view. You are and absolutel garbage news agency and you need sued down to your underwear for the trash you post under the guise of "news"!!

Our nation is sliding rapidly into an abyss of no return.
We cannot discuss issues if the level of discourse is set to that a of a 4th grade level.
Sometimes when we discuss news items that have us on the brink of war, total social collapse, or economic ruin, we use words that have more than one meaning. Your censorship program is unable to discern context of the conversation, and every day words are taken in the wrong context and either the post is deleted or blocked.
Yahoo, I think you also know that there are people within other countries that want serious harm to befall our nation and they post on your website. Yet you seem to worry more for them than you do for the people who live in the nation where you originate.
Currently the comment boards are not useful for anything but venting as it is impossible to have rational discussions here because of the algorithms you employ.

Seems as though we've been randomly selected to be censored because our ideas do not meet Yahoo's left-wing program. Thus the comments are skewed. Too bad Yahoo. Try as you may, most of our country doesn't think like you want us to.....and we won't.

Some times people respond to my comments with vile language and sexual content, like a guy suggesting that as a woman I just need to "get down on all fours". Why do I get restriction notices if I mention a body part or capitalize a word and there are folks who send me vile and inappropriate responses that are not rejected.

Fix this mess. It's almost impossible to hold a conversation with anybody. I came here, because it wasn't being run like MSN. MSN is now a graveyard for conversation. Is this what Yahoo wants?

Stop government propaganda from pretending to be local opinions.

Trying to counter a nation using news feed comments as a part of propaganda to influence public opinion. Shine a light on professional trolls. Expose them. Where are they commenting from. Does their IP address change a lot, or host dozens of accounts? give them a UN flag.

My comments are instantly rejected, i.e., within one second of posting. It reveals that someone is blacklisting COMMENTERS regardless of content. From other feedback I've seen, it's prolific enough to affect Yahoo's reputation. Up to the present it affects my impression of Yahoo as simply not caring what people think.

I've notice the number of people on here have fallen. 6 months ago I would spend 3 days arguing with liberals and now I can't get into a descent argument for anything. There are fewer thumbs up, so you not only have lost conservatives but also liberal. And fewer reader means less money in revenue. So Maybe change your ways and have more articles that tell the other side of the argument. **** off the liberals and let them defend their thoughts in the comment section. After all your readership is falling, so it's time to change direction. And it is election season, the busiest time of the cycle for you.
