Rejecting of comments
Telling someone that their comment was meanspirited, should have not resulted with a rejection to post. There are some insulting and demeaning comments that definitely should have been rejected, but weren't. But, Hey Yahoo, it's your platform! I'm out!
Hello. While we cannot speak about specific comments, policy interpretations, or actions action in relation to specific comments outside of with their original poster, we seek to apply the Yahoo Community Guidelines as evenly, fairly, and objectively as possible.

I don't visit Yahoo very much since Yahoo blocked me from commenting. Your censors have blocked me. I was considering using Yahoo as my start page, allow ads and allow ads in my mail. Your politically activist censors with poor understanding of the English language changed my mind.

Well, I have had comments with a word or two, in all caps rejected out of hand. The words were not
"mean" "foul" nor anything of the kind. I went back and changes the case of those words and they passed to be posted. THAT is BS....... Not only that, many times, comments that have been "hard" to get the point across, yet not foul nor threatening or whatever has been treated the same. Now if it is a bot doing a lot of your checking, it certainly needs to be discontinued or tuned to be far more forgiving. If you have Live moderators, and they are reject someones work, have them say why, and not just leave it to their desire or leave the arrogance of the "Community Guidelines" being abused line. -

Hey censors, nothing against community guidelines in this post. It is a response to someone that said Trump draped the white house in the N*** flag. That flag draped over the White House was from 2012. "The editor of Ami Magazine acknowledged in this week’s edition that the cover of last week’s issue depicting the White House draped in N*** flags with N*** storm troopers marching in front “was insensitive at best.”
The appeal was rejected.
YOU DON'T TELL PEOPLE WHY POSTS ARE REJECTED
IT'S MORE THAN LIKELY A BUTT HURT CENSOR ABUSING THEIR POSITION.
EXPLAIN WHAT ABOUT IT IS AGAINST COMMUNITY GUIDELINES OR START FIRING THE IMBECILES THAT REJECT LEGITIMATE POSTS. -

Why does it appear that, recently, controversial topics aren't posted in the news article's lede until commenting has been closed? You are alienating about half your readership. It leaves me with the impression that you are afraid of your propaganda being challenged with facts that the articles leave out. You may 'win' short-term, but ultimately lose the war because people will come to mistrust Yahoo. The best approach is honesty and balance, which is sorely lacking.

I don't agree that you are applying the Community Guidelines "evenly, fairly, and objectively as possible." I have had innocuous, civil comments rejected without explanation. How can readers learn what is acceptable if we don't get feedback? I'm left with the impression that many times the only criteria is that editors disagree with my viewpoint.

I posted a response to an article about an invasive species of moth and I stated: "We need to treat them like we did the Africanized bees" and this comment was reject. There was absolutely nothing wrong with my comment and it was on topic because the moths and bees are both invasive species.

This is an important forum. The machine censorship is out of control. Put some humanity into it.

The machine is rejecting all my comments, even the word test. The machine misinterprets my words I get rejected for using people's names and sarcasm. There is no consistency to applying your guidelines and there is nothing anyone can do or talk to anyone. I spend a lot of time on my posts and get rejected before I can copy it. I request to be able to copy rejected posts.

Fix the problem. And do better with the onerous censor algorithm. I just skim the articles and try comments once if I get the stupid "failed to publish" I could understand a rejected if I made a comment that violated the rules, but my innocuous comments (today if failed to publish my answer to a comment with just the word "Both.") That violated no normal standards. yahoo comments is capricious and overbearing.

As an American I have a voice a little voice. So why do you shut people up and out. You make me fill like the opinion police is going to show up at my door. But I might show up at your.

Specifically this happened when I was defending transgender kids last year. I was banned from commenting on everything. Now it all says that my comments are not allowed. I have posted simple items, repeated other comments, still the same response. Yahoo stories are subject to farms of commentors for one side or another. Likely happening in the complaint department as well. Let's post my comments that got me banned.

When someone said Donald Trump did not say journalists should be jailed, I posted a reply that cited the news organizations and dates of when Trump said Journalists Should Be Jailed. This was rejected for violating community standards. I appealed and initially the rejection was reversed, but then reinstated. I didn't use any foul language, make any threats or call anyone names, I cited facts. I believe this is censorship and THAT violates Yahoo Community Standards.

Yahoo censors JUST LIKE COMMUNISTS! When it ALL COMES OUT, this is NOT a threat... YOU SHALL be HELD ACCOUNTABLE. If you did nothing.. THERE'S NOTHING to worry about :-D

Your blocking of people's comments on a selected topic is not rational. Stop infringing on everyone's first amendment rights. I don't use vulgar language in my replies but have received them from others. I don't know who reviews the comments but they must be a very biased and inconsistent group.

John Anderson commented
Yahoo, are trying to abandon at least 1/2 of the country by your suppression of conservative comments? Any of you sensor goons even paying attention?
-

Stop infringing on everyone's first amendment rights. Freedom of speech is allowed EVERYWHERE Yahoo.

Clearly this is not only an inconsistent or biased censorship issue, but my account has now been targeted. We face threats to our freedoms at every turn these days.
