Do not Keep up articles where “commenting has ended.”
If “commenting has been ended” on an article, there is no reason for the article to remain up, or, most egregiously, reposted with the current date. I was preparing to comment on an article with the dateline of today (1/1/24), when I saw that commenting had somehow already ended. Looking at the comments, they were from 3 weeks prior. How does commenting end 3 weeks before an article is posted? If an article is worth reposting, the public has the right to determine if it is still worth commenting on. Most of the time we are getting rejected for a single word and we have no idea why. Either update your algorithm to highlight the offending word so we can edit it on the spot, or show us the comment so we can reapply it with an edit. and considering the hatred i see from left leaning comments especially in your thread, you are not censoring everyone.

Give users the choice of formats for Yahoo News. The new format is worthless.

Give the account owner the ability to turn off the newsfeed.
Put an option in the homepage to turn off the newsfeed. Leave the ads if you must. Microsoft Homepage has the option to turn off the newsfeed. Google has no newsfeed that I have found. Maybe it's time to ditch the Yahoo Homepage.

Limit posters to 100 posts per month.
Internet trolls are a problem. I just had an interaction with a person that had 27000 posts. He was clearly online to "stir the pot". Limiting the number of posts per day, per week, or per month, would allow free speech but help to mitigate the troll issue.
