WARNING my yahoo email hacked and a VIRUS was spread
Be aware that an adroid Mobile device from THIS IP ADDRESS:
202(dot)29(dot)52(dot)220
is being used to access yahoo email accounts to send VERY convincing emails to everyone on your CONTACTS LIST wherein they are told to go to a certain "http:...msn/msnbc.com..." address about a job. That address is a VIRUS of some kind--it's too early and I'm too ignorant to really know about more than that.
Just wanting to let yahoo and yahoo members know.
Thanks

Similar problems still happening. A rash of these occurred in Vancouver , Canada area this week 2/21/2013. I know of at least 4 accounts plus mine - and none of the others are connected to me.Sent different links, some of which appeared 'normal' to large number of my contacts. Nothing from Yahoo to acknowledge the issue or to explain how to stop/prevent it. I found an entry in my Contacts list that was just a string of numbers, which I deleted. If this has happened to you, check your Contacts.

Mine got hacked yesterday, 2/15/13. Emails were sent to people in my Sent Mail folder, not to Contacts list.

sent out 20 emails from my account - yahoo has no live support, phone contacts other than "it's no longer available", and emails continue w/ the same response/reply that does not solve the problem, that I no longer have access to the email account. Nice work, Yahoo, and the customer support gets an "F"

My info has been stolen also. I've seen other report on the web after searching for less than 15 minutes. It appears that Yahoo screwed the pooch on this one. Here is one report
"http://www.technibble.com/forums/showthread.php?p=339031"
Based on hacker reports linked in comment above it appears that the Yahoo servers have been compromised. And this after a series of similar hacking problems over the last six months with slow/no responses. After 10 years w/Yahoo I'm seriously considering leaving. I guess it depends on what I hear from Yahoo in the next day or two.
