same as everybody else, you guys need to get rid of political posters and spammers, posters with ten ids pushing useles threads topside making the Ford and GE boards dead sticks as far as usefulness.

It's not just spam. It's the miscreants who squat on a site and post pages and pages of absolute nonsense, like ieieieoqp or adlkalf'd'l. Reporting this abuse hasn't helped, and I wonder why Yahoo hasn't put a stop to anyone posting more than one message for, let's say, once every ten minutes or so. That would put a stop to these basement dwellers who seem to delight in being obnoxious.

With spam and political garbage flooding the boards they have become USELESS and an indication of Yahoo's incompetence.

Spammers & Bots have infected virtually all Yahoo Message Boards. I flag them as 'abuse' but nothing seems to happen to the "NAMES" associated with the Spam.
Yahoo needs to clean up it's act and delist any Spammers

There is no longer any reason to consult a message board because all comments have become irrelevant. They are either hateful and vile, or as other comments state, Yahoo is too dumb to recognize bots that promote one Spam post with numerous two word comments.

Yeah, there are users that have exactly the same comment in hundreds of post:
"serious report" "very good" ... come on!, is it that hard to see they are bots?? -

I just now saw this post by someone (not me) on the USO message board:
"I'm gone
An entire page of spam. No point in hanging around here any more. See ya'll. It's been fun. Spammers. You lose. If a tree falls in the forest and there is no one to hear, does it make a sound?"
Well, that is the sentiment that many of us have. If Yahoo! doesn't get the ******* spammers out of here, then there will be no customers, and then no ad revenue, and then no advertisers.

This is a MAJOR issue. No resonse from Y! ?
Surely these Spam posts have been ID'd.
The poster and all of his alias's should be banned. His spam posts deleted.
I have seen a geometric growth in these Spam messages and the two dozen follow up "Wowsa" or "I'm subscribed" etc etc
At the least, as suggested, give us a "ban" thread button. Certainly a bright college programmer could figure out the code for tat improvement.
Or how 'bout this trade.
Give me an "Ignore Thread" button in exchange for thumbs up/down.
You can ship that nonsense back to F*cebook!

There's a way to ignore a user. There should be a way to ignore a thread. That would make the 40 followup posts, saying "good report, thanks" less annoying.

Until you solve this problem your message boards are not to useful.
When you see a post that some one has reported as abuse (spam category went away) with 40 followup post just what do you think is going on. You've got one piece of spam and 39 shill posts to keep it on the top.
