yahoo, if you monitored these comments you would realize you have extreme hate and obscenity pervading these forums
And by the way obscenity on these boards is increasing. It is disgusting and when I report it nothing happens. I really must shop for a better place that is somewhat moderated that doesn't allow people to post what are in fact extremely obscene and graphic posts as well as some of the worst hate speech I've ever seen (at a level that would be criminal in some countries!)

@$2791 - I hear you. For weeks I've been reporting "I rule this board" who is spamming the O site with pages and pages of nonsense, but Yahoo hasn't banned him. One would think that a tech company would be able to figure out an IP and ban anything coming from that site. And ruckpral and monkey2 are spamming this and other abuse sites with their personal war of words. You guys are misusing the abuse reporting site with your animosity against each other and are no better than the people who squat on the various message boards! I don't think anyone here cares about your comments, so get lost!

Blue, if you find a better board, please let us know. Yahoo is hopeless in controlling the misfits that are squatting on the various message board.

Take note-Yahoo, I'm tired of reporting "yourbestfriendintheworld"..."amdripsoon"..".fizzlethread"...the list goes on and on, but it's ALL the same hating AMD basher! They live at the AMD MB to spread their hate 24/7 and this forum has helped stopped their extreme abuse and why ALL their anger towards me!

There IS extreme hate right in this very thread and I hope it's under review as well. And it's coming from AMD board full of abusers "hiding" behind their ID's they use there everyday. And as you can see, there is plenty of "hate" there and still continues. Just read the AMD board and see for yourself, it's so bad, you will know withing 5 minutes. There IS even a thread here started by someone who could see the abuse everyday at the AMD board. Now, they come HERE to start the SAME abuse all over again and ATTACK me everywhere I post! Just look at "monkey2", NO one has been as bad as he has at this forum.

I have just reported "monkey2" for his hate he used against me here with posting my ID here! I sincerely hope, and many do here, that Yahoo bans this "monkey2" for all his hate. He even used this hatred here when this thread is all about hate. This is a shame and pathetic. Yahoo, ID monkey2 should be "flagged" and banned. This **IS*** the type of posters your users are complaining about, such as this thread. Look at ALL the hate he has brought here today! And many threads here! He is clearly using HARASSMENT againt me and this IS a TOS violation!

I have even noticed this "hate" taking place at these forums right here! Check the "Sorry Yahoo, reporting your "abuser" account holders is not working" thread. Plenty of hate going there, even at this forum!

I am trying to post quotes from the company's financial report but they immediately show up as "topic deleted". I have never broken the TOS.
Meanwhile, posters who repeatedly have been abusive and obscene seem to be able to post freely and all reports of their misconduct are ignored.
What gives?

Absolutely. Thre is a individual on the Yahoo MSO stock board who uses multiple IDs to post vile filth, some of which Yahoo deletes, some of which it doesn't.This has been brought to the attention of the highest ranking people in Yahoo who seem totally indifferent to the problem. The penalties referred to in the "Yahoo Terms of Service:" are a joke and Yahoo management should be ashamed of itself.

I agree. Yahoo needs to warn individuals that their accounts will be cancelled if they violate rules of civil discourse. The latter could be spelled out in a notice to all users. Probably only practical to selectively enforce these rules but that alone might be enough to lessen the use of abusive language.

When the grade school shooting happened, soon after words the abusers you allowed came to these boards and were able to post congratulations for the killings. You had poster saying it was not enough killing of the little kids. You had posters that came here to applaud what happened.
The abuse was reported by many that I know about, and yet the abusive post was allowed to stand endlessly.
Many actually think there are absolutely no censors at all even.
It seems to be true because I have seen the worse possible abusive posts and the posts are allowed to stand for all to see.
You run an anti-American and anti-Christian, and anti-patriotic forum over run by lunatics and haters and filth talkers.
It is so hard to imagine and fathom how Yahoo a supposed proud American company does not have a vibrant and active censoring process to keep this place clean and uncorrupted.
Please, please, clean up the abusive posters and you will be having a much higher amount of contended members and posters.

Very difficult for any public message board (Google, etc) to monitor with the massive volume of traffic that these public forums generate. Coupled with users changing identities, etc, etc the problem becomes exponentially greater and even more difficult.
Agreed, the use of derogatory, obscene or profane language is unacceptable (whether letters are substituted with symbols or not, in those cases it is STILL profanity and derogatory). Again, the huge volume these companies deal with would make it cost-prohibitive to have staff monitoring these forums. An option would be to solicit, qualify and authorize certain users as volunteer senior monitors.
However, my experience has been that Yahoo message boards are actually monitored, mostly for spam and action taken along with "complaint" options and "ignore" features which, altogether, are far better than other search engine discussion boards.
