CLEANER MESSAGE BOARDS
Since you allow multiple userID's, it would be great if we could ignore ALL the poster's id's, simply by ignoring ANY of the id's

Absolutely fabulous idea. Or block multiple ID's like other message boards (I LOVE Silicon Investor's boards for this, it really cleans up the place!!!!! Bashersspammers hate that board cuz they get banned by the SI crew almost immediately and can never post again!.)

outstanding suggestion. And then track the email of the abusive poster and refuse it on any yahoo service.

Not sure I understand blug's objection. No one has to post using a real name, so how would blocking all aliases lead to knowing who the blocked person was? What process of deduction would lead to that? Doesn't make sense to me.
And if I wanted to block someone because I was tired of their posts cluttering the board, why wouldn't I want to block them with all their changing aliases for the same reason.
I like this idea a lot. -

I think "reposting"-'bumping" post 500 or OVER 600 times is just absolutely immature, useless and brings NOTHING to any Yahoo message board! Different IDs and so many by the SAME user! Hate to say it again, this major abuse is still taking place at the AMD board and other MBs. Apparenty, it's not an easy fix for Yahoo, because they certainly know about it! Just PLEASE fix it, 10-maybe 15 times to repost and the filters should stop it. Better yet, remove their accounts! You don't need to read the same bashing 500, 600+ times under different IDs. How did people/posters get SOOOO sick out there????? Help us make it better, Yahoo!

I do not agree with this. If you, yahoo, are encouraging people to shield their identities via aliases, then this person's suggestion would run counter to that. If someone ignores one, and that blocks all posts of the user regardless of alias, that would mean the person who ignored, by process of deduction, could figure out who that poster was.
That said, I strongly encourage Yahoo to moderate boards and get rid of the over the top offensive posting that is driving away the better participants, and making the offensive, aggressive, unethical ones in position to set the tone for these boards.
When someone is found to have been extremely offensive, hostile, unethical, etc, they should be banned - all their aliases. There should also be human moderators.
I agree I think with the end result I think this person is going for here, just not the means.
