Give me a chance to copy or alter the text of my rejected messages
It is highly annoying when I spend my time to type up a message and it is rejected. I do like the feature now where Yahoo posts the reason why my message was rejected, but the message still gets lost. Please, if you must reject messages, leave the text there to give me a chance to copy or change it so that my effort is not needlessly lost.
I just made a post and I linked to a Youtube video for further illustration of my idea. OK, fine, you won't allow the link, but the rest of the message is still valid. I would much rather just remove the part with the link and still post the message, but I don't want to retype it. I run into this problem far too often.

I am kind of lost. I am new to the boards and I am not sure what you mean by "rejected" and "lost".
Correct me if i am wrong here: When you try to post something, if there is a problem, you are shown an error message, but your text is untouched and you can modify and resubmit it without having to click on anything.
Is that not what's happening for you? -

I totally agree with this. I have lost many carefully composed posts in the same manner. To make matters worse, the policies as to what is rejected continually change, so you never know when this is going to occur, but bottom line, it occurs OFTEN.
I write informational posts. I try to share valuable facts that people would not see elsewhere. I explain concepts in simple language. I back up my assertions with reasons.
That takes effort. And to have it just get rejected for absolutely no valid reason and also to have it disappear with no chance to edit and repost, and no explanation as to WHY it's being rejected so you can figure out how to get around the messed up filters....
It's a huge annoyance and discourages people from putting effort and meaningful statements into their posts. The more you say of substance, the more likely your post is to be vaporized by these poorly constructed filters.
