Is there a way to save the chart settings I prefer so I don't have to reconfigure the charts every time I look at a new stock?
Is there a way I can save the chart settings that I use the most so I don't have to spend the time to redraw the chart every time I look at a new stock? I'd like to save my settings of the OHLC bar charts with the 200 and 50 day MA as the baseline instead of the line chart which is the default now. Thanks.
What has happened to CHARTS? I had configured dozens of charts with different symbols and saved them to 'Favorites'.
Now when I go to a selected chart, ALL the Symbols Are Gone Except The First One? Must I REDO every Saved Chart to get them to work. AND, How long will those work before they get destroyed under guise of "IMPROVEMENTS"?
Thanks In Advance,
Every morning I set up the charts. Every morning what I set up the previous morning has defaulted back to a one year mountain chart with no studies. Couldn't a "Save Chart" button be added like almost every other site has such as "Big Charts"?
Under the interactive stock chart tab, I want to be able to set MY settings as the default so every time under every stock chart is what I want to look at. Why have a customization feature at the top that requires you to reset it each time you look at a chart?
Enable users each select their preferred chart format as their default.
Local at users computer, saved chart style needs open as saved previously, with changes for current prices etc.
When you set up the technical indicators on the interactive graph I want the last settings to be saved as a cookie so each graph you view keeps the same settings. You had this before.
I want to be able to design my own format of default stock charts when signed in, with bar, 50&200 dma, to save 3 clicks every time i open up a new chart, which always have linear style default format wihtout any moving averages showing.
Need to be able to set my setting instead of doing it every stock I choose. today is 17jan13???????????
I like to use candle charts, but your site resets my settings every day. Can't the chart remember my settings so I don't have to do it manually every day?
Is there any way to store my choices for interactive chart parameters so that I don't have to keep re-entering them? Ffor example the 50,100, 200 day SMA and a comparision to S&P 500? I am tired of having to constantly re-enter them.
Make it so I can have my charts always use the same moving average
without making me reset it, on each new chart...
I would like to have a saved "Interactive Chart" configuration that would be my default. Why the **** is there no option for this. I am using the new Windows 8 not because I wanted it but because I bought a new computer. Is this an issue with Windows 8. I or "we" should not have to reconfigure a chart each time we look at different stock.
In your 1D, 5D, ...5Y, Max. I have secrecy every I change symbol. Why not have a Sectings where you could select 1Y or 5Y and it memorize it? You select APPL and get the chart to wanted.
I THINK THESE COMMENT BOXES & BOARDS ARE PROVIDED SO THAT PEOPLE CAN VENT THEIR PROBLEMS. I'M PRETTY SURE NO EVEN AT YAHOO'S END EVER READS THESE !!!
YAHOOOOO...THIS IS EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING !!!!!
CAN YOU PLEASE REDUCE MAYER'S PAY A LITTLE AND PAY ONE OF THOSE PROGRAMMERS TO FIX THE CHARTING - WHENEVER I SET MY CHARTS WITH THE INDICATORS & SETTINGS IT SOMEHOW GETS RESET EVERY TIME. I'M SURE THIS IS A SMALL FIX.
STOP PAYING MAYER'S SO MUCH FOR NOT DOING ANYTHING AND JUST SITTING AT HOME.
why is my charting no longer working?

1. Why do I have to reset the chart settings every time I start up? It didn't use to be that way. It's extremely annoying.
2. It would be very helpful to be able to draw a regression line through the data. The formula is simple and can be found in any statistic book.
It is a must have to be able to save the settings. I actually use the above plus additional settings. To change it each time takes to long. Let us know when you have added this feature.

I download the portfolio to a spreadsheet, and flick back and forth, using the code for each share, but you still have to set it up every day you open Yahoo, and it is pretty annoying, when you know that this cannot be a big problem to fix as we already all have saved our portfolios somewhere in a cloud it should be possible to save this little extra information with the portfolio at the same somewhere. Who is working on this review?
I have seen people complain about this for months! How long does it take to fix this problem or is it just going to be ignored because the CEO is too busy with her on site baby day care in her office?
I totally agree with your comment. How to push Yahoo to take action????
This problem has been present for several months now, and alledgedly under review since February 11!!! In my view this should be sufficient time for review, now its time for some action to solve the problem.
your recent changes absolutely suck.. just another episode of diminishing quality. have resisted, but have finally decided to change my start page over to google. ***** you!!
This has been annoying me for about 2 months, maybe longer. It used to work, bnut no longer. I am on IE 9

My chart settings don't save anymore either, very annoying. Could this be a cookie issue? I don't allow 2ndary cookies to be saved. Could that be the problem?
How to set up with a "Favorites Bar"?
High Yield Consultant commented
This is a workaround I am now using since my chart settings required frequent reconfiguring. I prefer Yahoo's tool bar over all others. I have it set up with a 'Favorites Bar' where I save my ideal chart configuration. Yes, it immediately opens just as I want it everytime.
Several months ago, it automatically save your setting if you use Interacitive chart. Now Yahoo seems getting back to their default chart and can't save our setting.
HOPING YAHOO CAN FIX IT ASAP.

It would be wonderful to have the line type, chart cursor and moving averages autosave. I love your site!!
Goes back to mountain and no technical indicator...Does Yahoo give a darn?

I have about 70 shares which I watch - kept on my Bookmarks. Sometimes the Technical Indicators fail to show on the Interactive Chart - just the empty box where it should be. I use Firefox. Any Ideas ? I'm not sure if it is Yahoo or my computer.

I save mine in Bookmarks or favourites.

Agree! For me too, chart settings keep resetting to Mountain line style, OHLC off, etc.
