Folks,
On the Yahoo Finance Portfolio screen, you have a "Streaming Quotes=On/Off" feature that keeps getting broken. When I set the Streaming Quotes to ON and then navigate around and return to the original page, the Streaming Quotes function is turned back OFF. The Streaming Quotes function should remain in the ON or OFF setting until I manually change it.
In addition, when the Streaming Quotes feature is set to ON, it is not consistently refreshing and generating quotes in real time. Consequently, I need to frequently press the Refresh button as the streaming quotes feature is not refreshing the page as expected.
Please bring these two software bugs to the attention of your software development team to be fixed. And since this Streaming Quotes functionality is being broken so frequently, this feature needs to be monitored, perhaps with quality assurance automation software and test cases.
Thanks.

Yahoo streaming has not worked at all on my comp for a long time. The address is always there down on my status bar but it never starts. Frankly, if it did work, I would just turn it off anyway. Back when it worked, I used to have to keep turning it OFF because it kept coming back on.

Craig C - some people do not want streaming on Yahoo as it really drags down loading, they already have enough problems with all their intrusive, ineffective ads, even with 18 MB connection. We don't use Yahoo finance for that. Just a snap shot. Why have streaming on Yahoo??? Can you buy stock on Yahoo?? Yahoo is convenient and is becoming more incovenient. Why does a user have to **** around with browser setting just because Yahoo thinks streaming is a value to its users??

if you use FireFox, install "NoScript" as an add-on and disable "yimg.com"; that will stop the streaming quotes. However, I see no reason to stop the quotes if your watching the market but if you do, there are other programs like MSN portfolio etc.
