In researching historic UK share prices on yahoo, I've found that the results sometimes include wildly incorrect figures. Unfortunately, this makes all the results suspect and unreliable.

I too have attempted to use this data and found it to be incorrect. You could try DigitalLook , they have a historic price download and they are always correct.
