Make the IGNORE button work in such a way, that you can not play that player again, till you choose not to IGNORE.
This will prevent a player from re-playing a player that they consider rude, a staler,or a runner( a one game player whom wins, then leaves).

The 'Ignore button' is on a players Information window, obtained by doubleclicking on an ID. The 'Report Abuse' button is on the right of an abusers 'complete profile page', obtained by clicking 'profile' on someones 'Player information window', then clicking 'complete profile' on the abusers 'games profile page'. You could have found both these out in half the time by doing an internet search for 'where this so-called IGNORE and REPORT ABUSE button'. Every soloution to a problem is on the Internet, if you bother to look.

I like the idea but I'd like yahoo to take it a step further and actually TELL us where this so-called IGNORE and REPORT ABUSE buttons actually are instead of just reminding us about them

This is an excellent idea. It could be also expanded, so that someone on your ignore list would be incapable of sitting at your table: that would solve a lot of problems.
Expand it further, so that someone on your ignore list was prevented from messaging or 'pinging' you, and that would nullify a lot of the booters (I don't know whether 'ping - bombing' is still a mainstream booting method used by the 'bots').
