Christine, all I did was google...how do I upgrade my browser. "2nd thread down said, install windows 9 or something clicked on and that was it. Try that cant do any harm to your computer, you can always uninstall it if that doesnt work..good luck :-)

ok.have tried most things now except installing windows9.looked into that and it was a minefield of which one to do etc etc.basically im a wuss and scared of screwing up my computer cos its only a year old and was expensive.i just think it is a bit unusual that quite a few people are having the same problem at the same time.but hey ho i will have to live without commenting, the rest works fine.garen-thanx so much for your help and patience and for not ridiculing me.i will keep trying.***

Garen, thank you so much for that. I just updated browser & installed windows 9 ( I think ) and it's fine now. Cheers for that.
Christine I'm back on now. Yeah I know what you mean, strictly has left yahoo. The way he was picked on was disgraceful. He was stalked to death & imposters were posting so much vile stuff under his name. I'm still in contaact with him and he was asking for you not long ago.

christine - Download 'CCleaner' (top entry on a Google search) and install it on your computer. The second set of icons on the left of the program says 'Registry' . . . click on it and after that click on 'scan for issues' . .Delete the suggestions ( I have never had a problem with this) after that, exit from the program . . .go into your browser (I am more aux fait with Firefox, although I also use Chrome and Opera) and delete ALL Browsing history (tick every box) . .. best to do a hard re-boot . .. don't do a restart . . .shut your computer down! . .. and leave for a couple of minutes, then start again. .. . . I am not too hot with Internet Explorer as I tend to use Firefox more often than not (Mine is loaded with lots of goodies and add-ons) .. I tend to use Chrome with certain websites and Opera with fewer. .. . . And on my main PC, I run a Linux partition too but mainly Chrome and Chromium . .What internet browser do you use?

I can answer this . .. It's NOT a Yahoo problem, it's down to your PC set up and your browser. Thousands of people are commenting on Yahoo . .. doesn't that tell you something?
I am not trying to be nasty here ( I had a similar argument with Webmaster G - who refused to admit that a browser problem was their end and not a Yahoo fault)
I will try to help if I can - Javascript can cause these problems but I am assuming that you have Javascript enabled (otherwise you would normally get a warning, as well as other anomalies using the internet) The most likely cause is the Flash Player!
I am going to suggest something drastic but effective: Firstly; Make sure your Browser is updated . .. Secondly; Update your Flash Player (usually Adobe Flash, find the website and download the latest version) . .. With Windows, registries sometimes cause a problem, so delete unused entries ( Unless you are a knowledgeable geek, I suggest using a download such as CCleaner - it's free and will identify redundant entries) , once this is done . .. Thirdly: Via your Browser, Delete ALL browsing history, cache, cookies, history and so on. (this will mean a bit of hassle, as you need to re-establish yourself with your favourite websites . . .signing in, passwords, etc) . . .. Fourth; ???? . .. . Fifth; Profit!
Everything should now be ok . .. If it isn't let me know and I will go one stage further . .. . Thank me later! -
