Hi, please let us know how we can improve further.

Do you guys really have no clue how simply awful the Yahoo weather pages are?

The radar map is slow to load, clunky and inaccurate when it does finally load. The Alerts are a joke: clicking the red rectangle gives a weather alert for some random place in the country, but NEVER for the location indicated on the page. The forecast itself give less information than it used to and you can only see it by hovering the mouse. As far as I can tell it is impossible to specify the default city; the link that is supposedly for that does nothing. I could go on and on. Honestly, I don't think you could have designed a less effective weather system if that had been the assignment.

The inability to specify the defaul city is the worst. Why isn't Yahoo doing something to fix it?

      • Anonymous commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

We need to be able to set the location! I have no use for the weather for a city 2 hours away where my ISP is based.

LOL....I live in WV, not freaking ARKANSAS....get your stuff fixed. bad enough I can't post anymore on your darn sites......

I couldn't agree more with what Dave said if I had written it myself. My first response to the new yahoo weather was...what happened to the weather page?

Yahoo Weather would be comical if it wasn't so bad. I can only assume they tried to build a decent app, but they failed spectacularly. Maybe they are just playing a nasty joke on their users because it is hard to believe that something this bad could have been designed by real people.

I agree with everyone else. The weather app says it shows the most frequently looked up cities. Well, I most frequently look up my own city (amazingly enough) and it doesn't even show up in the list. I've typed it in over and over. I also can't delete cities I don't care about. Just cause I looked at a city once doesn' mean I want to see it every day. Totally worthless.

alerting some its foggy in lemoore is a no brainer ALERT means severe weather, thunder storm etc.

I never comment on anything...but I agree wholeheartedly. The old version of yahoo weather was far better than the current one. This one stinks.

I agree 100% radar is worthless, can never get to it, and then is for some place 400 miles away. alerts are for an area 300 miles away, forcast has 40degrees one place and 20 in the written and on and on. Why change when this is totally incompetent!

I am very upset that I cannot set my default city. I even removed the app from my Yahoo page and reinstalled it a few days later, thinking I would be able to set my default... but no, the same cities were listed! Very annoying are the incorrect alerts. I live in the south, and we rarely receive snow, but the alerts say we are having blizzards! . I looked up the weather in another city one time, and the app automatically set it as my default! The long wait for the page to load is also very annoying... to the point that I usually just close the page. Grrrrr.

I live in Michigan and my default is Rochester NY and it won't change. If Yahoo is getting their info from the ISP...Then their servers are screwed up!!!! I'm seriously considering moving to another homepage...I also don't like their new email page either...wish you would go back to the old email too!!!!

When YAHOO Weather wants to UPGRADE their site, PLEASE tell the programmers NOT TO DROP Existing features, but ADD any improvements ! So you do not lose most of your loyal fans.
