My comment in the News section simply disappears as I click "Post"...

Why does my comment on a news article disappear as I click "Post"...the sequester?

I use Chrome, most recent update. Oftentimes, when I type a comment and hit 'post', the comment also simply disappears. The browser behaves as if the comment has been posted, but there only appears a little horizontal arrow indicating that there is some new text that can be expanded. But there is no text and clicking the arrow produces nothing. Refreshing the page confirms the comment has disappeared. The comment isn't censored on the basis of content since I am usually able to post it later in another browser window. This problem seems to be linked to another bug that makes thumbing up or down messages not working either.

Same problem here. No error message, Both IE and Chrome browsers, benign comments like, "I thought about it that way, too," and any article today's "Dear Abby," to the new pope carrying his own luggage.

I spent hours and hours...almost troll-like, trying to maintain a back and forth banter with several others on a news article...typed nearly 1000 words in several postings or just one sentence posts, only to see my avatar and name with yahoo asking if I want to remove the blank space...
