I can 't open in new tab the links. It's hard to read.
I don't like the new look. I can 't open in new tab the links. It's hard to read. It looks like a barbie doll box. I hate it
Restore the "More" link so we can see stories that drop off the first page of each tab on the News home page. It's stupid to have news pages that only allow us to see a few of the most recent stories.
Give us the option to 'Open In New Tab' back!
Allow right click + open in new tab for news in homepage.
So it seems that we can't right-click to open a news story (from the front page) in a new tab? whyever not? So that I'm compelled to keep coming back to the yahoo front screen? ridiculous! And no - I'm sorry, but I shouldn't HAVE to open the yahoo news page then open the stories. If I'm on the front page and happen across a story I like, I should be able to open it (in a new tab) from there instead of going to Yahoo News and maybe not finding the same story again.
Half of the links don't let you right click and open in a new tab. It's really annoying to have to keep reloading the home page.
I do not like commercials screaming at me when the program just whispers.
Where are the comments on that page.
I do not like the new home page that prevents me from open pages in other tabs.
I do not like being told I have to agree to terms of service which may be updated by from time to time without notice.
the new layout is just terrible! you can no longer right click on an article to read in a new tab. you have to read it then go back if you want to choose another article. its so unorganized! who works for you all? KIDS?
The large photos above the purple nav bar hide the navigation, took me a day to find it. The thin type also works to hide the bar in plain sight. Sure its there and now that I finally found it I can use it. But the page does not feel useful. Its more frustrating and the purple being so dominate is hard on the eyes.
Allow someone to right click on the story hyperlinks to open in a new tab or page. Clicking one story and then having to go back to to the home page to find where you left off is inefficient and frustrating. The old format was much easier to navigate and less obtrusive.
The new layout is very cluttered and unorganized. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the past layout. Everything was on one screen, and all you had to do was scroll through the catagories. Now you have a whole bunch of clustered pointless articles mixed in with ones that i might want to read, taking more time to find articles that appeal to me.
design ignorance (the typography is awful, i can't even read it) to layout etc.
Internet Explorer TABS was a great idea - now we can not use them from your new home page! One must click on a story, it opens in the same page, and when you return back to the home page you start at the top of the list again. Not happy with it, Thank you for listening.
I hated it the first day I saw it but was glad to see that my Iphone didn't have it. Today, April 3rd, it too has the hated page. I left it on my computer for MSN and have deleted the Yahoo app on my phone and added the MSN one. Too bad Yahoo. Yet another customer on the run!
I hate it all too!
To get around this, Right Click a link that does have "Open in New Tab" then right click the article you want to read and it will appear.
The can't open in new tab only applies to IE. It works in Firefox and Chrome. That sounds like a coding issue to me. But I use IE a lot and I hate not having this available. Please fix now.
Also, the new home page site layout is horrible. I don't want to see the preview of each story, I liked how all the stories were sorted by category and title for fast and easy scanning. This is a step backwards, big time. You outsmarted yourselves.

cant open in new tab.... BY YAHOO.... you folks are idiots....
i really hate this new format, I cannot open my news in a new tab? The custom news i like to see is full of things i have no interest in. Yahoo has been my home page for many years and I hate to have to abandon it. If this is not fixed I will be forced to seek another source.
Shame on you. Do you honestly, truly believe your users are so stupid that we are going to stick with a website that forces us to scroll through endless content with no ability to use new tabs? No ability to open content in new windows? Did you really think you would improve your numbers, your standing, and your users experience by totally abandoning the most basic principles of web interface design??
What in world are you thinking Yahoo? I can't right click to open articles in new tabs anymore!!! If this is not fixed, I am going to switch my homepage to a more user friendly site. I have used Yahoo since the 1990's and I have never been so unhappy. Please do the right thing yahoo!!!
I couldn't agree more. It's difficult to use, looks like a child put it together, and has all the entertainment gossip listed as news. I much prefer blocked off sections, viewing my fav list at a glance, and the adult format of the previous version. This new 2013 version simply, well - stinks.
I couldn't agree more! I hate the new home page! Bring back the old one!
Wow! This shows a real lack of leadership. Outdated thinking at the helm - which hopefully should be short lived. Wake up captian, iceberg straight ahead. A Titanic mistake. Not surprising with the other Yahoo outdated thinking seen in the news lately.

I believe this is exactly correct, and probably the way that the architect of this abomination is covering his own back side within the Yahoo offices.. How sad, rather than just listening to all the users that are obviously not happy with the new product, they resort to dirty tricks.. Talk about biting off your own nose to spite your face, Yahoo...
I seriously just won't even use yahoo anymore. Taking away the ability to right click and open in a new window is too much. Horrible new page.

Same here! I hate that you can't just right click on the headlines like any other normal website...c'mon, yahoo!
ah ha! so i'm not the only person with a problem opening the articles... there's a back way. you have to right click on the article in the "scroll box" below & then right click on the article title above(below the bigger picture) in order to get the option to open in a diff window. took me about 10min to figure that out which is ridiculous to put it mildly. it shouldn't be something i would HAVE to figure out. the homepage also has a chance to freeze on me when i try to go to another site & takes forever to load. hate the layout, hate the excess of that bright purple & everything seems to be scattered. change it back!!
