Notification icon doesn't link to comments properly

Whenever my notifications icon shows I have a new comment or like on an article I commented on earlier, I click on it to go look at the like or new comment, but when it links up to the article, it doesn't show the comments, only the article. When I go back to the article through the link on the homepage, however, the comments show up just fine. It does this every single time, and when the article title disappears from the homepage, I can no longer look at the comments because I can't link to them from the notifications icon. Please fix this problem. Thank you.

        You don't seem to be working on it very hard. It may be a "priority" for you but, but clearly not a very high level one.
