Yahoo, you need to stop the HATE comments. The bigotry that goes on in comments is despicable and irresponsible. Cant moderate? then lose it
People that create Racist or bigotted names should be blocked. The hate comments are always about political issues. I dont need to be harassed and insulted and offended every time i come to read an article on your site. Whether Im a Jew, or Black, or a Liberal, or Gay...I should not be subjected to HATE speech on your website. If you cant moderate it, then dont allow comments. You only provide a forum for people to spread their hate. and you know it...shame on you...

It's true, Yahoo is completely unresponsive to abuse reports and fails entirely to enforce their stated guidelines. You even see someone doing it here, and I'll bet several people have already flagged it as inappropriate, but his comment will remain.

While I agree there shouldn't be a lot of restrictions on what can be posted, the hate speech is out of control AND it is defined in the terms of service and in the reporting feature. You're right, it's one thing to allow a free-for-all, but it's "false advertising" to suggest they have terms in place to make surfing Yahoo safe, but utterly fail to enforce any of their terms.

In the Israel news stories, the JIDF trolls and the PRO ISRAELI contingency openyl flaunt the ability to have mine and many others posts deleted almost immediately. As well, if I do have say 1,000 posts then the next day I have 800. They troll me all night and delete my comments.
It is true. I am everyman3@ymail.com. I had my previous account deleted after 16 years for NO REASON. I can type Mary had a little lamb and I love israel and it is deleted immediately... Israel pays internet posters and bloggers to DELETE our comments and to muddy the waters in favor of israel...

Since the 3 states voted in same *** marriage there have been numerous story's concerning this subject. While not everyone ever agrees on any subject, the amount of vulgar anti-gay comments posted by outright bigots should not be allowed to remain on Yahoo's comment section. I have noticed that accounts have been created just for this purpose. If you look at their comments you will see that every one of them are vulgar anti-gay or pitiful attempts at insults directed at the other posters that don't agree with their sick logic. While I agree that people who don't agree with same *** marriage have the right to post their thoughts on this subject, I disagree with the comments that are noting but pure bigotry and I feel Yahoo should remove this type of comment immediately..

A white supremacist website, Stormfront.org, is encouraging members to use Yahoo to spread their messages. They realize that the average person is less likely to visit their site, and more likely to visit a site like Yahoo. Since Yahoo doesn't review comments before they are posted, they end up displaying the white supremacist rhetoric alongside the news. I don't think Yahoo realizes they are unintentionally enabling hate speech.

Most of the hate I see in the Yahoo comment sections on political news is from liberals. When they can't defend an issue, they try to flood the page to disrupt any discussion of ideas or issues.
Remember the great time libs had making fun of Sarah Palin's baby? Lots of yucks there. And how about all that love for George W Bush? Wishing guy who threw the shoe had thrown a knife.
If they ban hate comments, you libs won't be able to post.
