Eliminate comment trolls.
It would be so appreciated if a user could create a personal list of commenters to block. I get so tired of seeing pithy statements that contribute nothing to a discussion.

Don't prevent me from stopping automatic ads when I click on a link to a news item! ad that
When I click on a news item link, an ad starts automatically, prior to the news item, and it cannot be turned off or skipped; it can only be silenced. Don't do this! I usually just back out of the page when this happens. If this sort of thing continues, I will simply go elsewhere to get my news, and perhaps even change my homepage.

Could you provide us with the video URL which you are seeing the video auto-play?

Your censor blanked out the word "crook", which would make others think I posted an obscenity. Also blanked was "assess". Did I mispell?
Please refine your censorship program. The word "crook" should not be censored.

Yahoo! is now placing a 'banner' at the top of their news & stock pages that doesn't scroll, reducing the veiwable screen area. BAD !!!!!
Get rid of the fixed link section at the top of the page. It reduces the useable/viewable area. I have most of the common links bookmarked, and I want to be able to use my entire screen for reading and working.

Recently the "Back" button stopped working on most Yahoo News pages. Keyboard shortcuts to go "Back" don't work either.
I've been browsing Yahoo News daily for years. Recently, when you changed the layout and style of Yahoo News, I found that about 90% of the time, when I clicked on a story link and went to the story page, I was unable to go "Back" to the main page. Clicking on the "Back" button in Internet Explorer produced no results at all, right-clicking and choosing "Back" also produced no results, keyboard shortcuts also would not take me "Back". The only way to get "Back" to the main Yahoo News page was to click on the "Yahoo" link at the…

I found it very unnecessary to post a photo of a deceased bear laying in a heap in the bed of a truck today.
Completely unnecessary. It shouldn't matter if the bear had attacked someone, a photo of a dead animal is not necessary, especially in a slideshow of news articles that cause it to show up automatically. No one needs to be exposed to that. Could you please make some changes?

Add Mlive.com as a Detroit Metro local news source
Yahoo! Local News:
I'm hoping that you will consider adding MLive.com as a source of local news in Detroit, MI. Mlive has become the #2 local website in the Detroit DMA according to Comscore. And, has been placing a great deal of emphasis on local news reporting in the Detroit DMA.
Yahoo currently pulls Mlive.com feeds for other local areas around the state of Michigan, but not Detroit. The feeds for the various Detroit sections are as follows:
Detroit News: http://feeds2.feedburner.com/detroit-news
Detroit Business: http://feeds.feedburner.com/detroit-businessDetroit Entertainment: http://feeds2.feedburner.com/detroit-entertainment
Detroit Sports: http://feeds2.feedburner.com/detroit-sports

I don't want to see any more pictures of naked women in the advertisements.
On March 19 I was annoyed to see an ad on your news page that showed a topless woman. Surely there is someone who can screen these ads before they make it onto your site.

I am not able to replicate this issue. Please tell us a few things so that we can re-create the problem and fix it:
1) What exact problem you are having (example: comments section cannot loading? Unable to reading News?)
2) Which browser version you are using (example: Firefox 14.0.1)
Thanks for your help.

Can't see the replies that have been posted - click on replies and it closes them. Why?
On the comments pages it will say something like "4 replies" when I click on that instead of opening the replies, it won't even show how many there are, only the box for me to post a reply.
What I don't understand is why there are CONSTANT problems with yahoo comment boards. Do you have a trouble shooting team?4 votesHi Yahoo! News reader,

WHY DO YOU EVEN HAVE VIDEOS ON YOUR SITE, THEY NEVER PLAY.
STOP WITH THE VIDEOS THAT NEVER WORK, OR AT LEAST INCLUDE THE TEXT THAT GOES ALONG WITH THE VIDEO.

I HATE being sent to a "featured" video at the end of one I may want to see. Leave me pick ones I WANT to see.
I HATE being sent to a "featured" video at the end of one I may want to see. Leave me pick ones I WANT to see. Unless you stop the video you are automaticlly sent to YOUR video. I hate that. If I want to see something multiple times, I would click on it multiple times. Once it was how astronauts brush their teeth which I was exposed to MULTIPLE times, now it is cell phone adivse. If I have seen it once, I DON'T want to see it again. If you are going to do that, keep track on…
