Editing
Please use better writers, editing techniques, and proof reading of any and all articles posted. I know kindergartners who can write better articles.

I've noticed that more and more of the Yahoo Story ideas are using the wrong words, and thus making the reporters/writers look bad.
These mistakes aren't big... but they are noticeable. First, there is a news anchor that says "found on the intrawebs" all the time. It's interwebs. Intraweb is short for internal web, or intranet (which is an internal network used only by a corporation, in the case Yahoo.)
Second, there was a written article today about a young deaf kid named Hunter, the story was great, but it starts off saying he signs his name crossing his fore finger with his index finger. These are the same finger. It should read "... index and middle finger," or "... fore finger and…

Proofread & factcheck.
Proofread and factcheck and make sure the article writers have maps and they know how to use them. Tangipahoa Parish is NOT in Mississippi, it's in Louisiana. And who or what is the "Gohsep" mentioned in the article on the potential dam failure? Such blatant carelessness gives "journalism" a bad name.

Verify/Edit facts before posting articles.
In your"Newtown Parents Urge Enforcement of Gun Laws" article by SUSAN HAIGH, there are pictures and also text in the story that state that the Bushmaster AR-15 was used by the shooter. ALL other reputable news articles state that only pistols were used. Why does this reporter keep stating this throughout the story? I am a casual reader, but know this to be untrue. Please have your writers check facts so that we can actually use yahoo as a somewhat reliable source.

Tired of the Endless Errors
Look, I really get tired of seeing stories posted with spelling errors. Not just GMA but other news sources as well. Show a modicum of professionalism and edit your work! News media should be absolutely embarrassed when they post stories with misspelled words or incorrect grammar or both. Now, they seem to just not care. Well, I frankly, am tired of seeing such sloppy journalism. It's hard to take anything you publish as serious when you can't get spelling or grammar right. I mean honestly, take some pride.
Most recent article is on the man suing the pool table company.…12 votes -
Don't list arraignments of accused murderers under "Entertainment News"
On 10/22/2012, Yahoo news posted the story reporting the arraignment of Whitney Hiechel's accused murderer under "Entertainment News". Not only is this a very STUPID mistake, it's downright morally reprehensible, and insolent. How can Yahoo be so cruel and insensitive to the families and friends of everyone involved? Do the staff at Yahoo news consider the violent death of a young woman, as pleasing or comical? Is Yahoo news staffed with sadists, or just plain retards? An apology and correction should be issued. Anything else would be indecent.

Please know what acronyms your writers use and editors should catch. "SNAFU" is not just a little mix up, it is foul language. Look it up.

Proper Nomenclature
In your news article http://news.yahoo.com/tennessee-doctor-credited-cracking-meningitis-outbreak-mystery-191948828.html, the fungi; Aspergillus /fumigatus/ is misspelled in the sense that proper nomenclature procedure states that the species name should be lower case and italicized which it is not in your article. I am working on a degree in microbiology and it makes it very difficult for me to take an article seriously when there are these kinds of mistakes.

Please find someone to edit news material prior to posting.
I understand that Yahoo! wants to be the first to post breaking news; however, it should not be at the cost of looking unprofessional. It can be difficult to read a serious article when there are typos and other grammatical errors throughout it.
Thank you.

Proofread ALL articles before posting. The following article link is horrible. It doesn't make sense at all.

Yahoo needs to have some one do a grammar check - case in point - today's home page - "3 days is enough: Are 2-day conventions next?"

Rely on actual proof reading, NOT just SpellCheck. Words are missing or misused in nearly every article I read. Unprofessional mistakes.
Have a proof reader look at each article before it's published. For example..."California Gov. Jerry Brown signed a new last week...". The word "law" is completely missing from the text.
