NOTE THAT THIS MESSAGE BOARD IS NOW ONLY PERIODICALLY MONITORED. THE MEDIA EXPERIENCES TEAM THANKS YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR FEEDBACK TO DATE.
Welcome to our feedback center!
Here is how it works:
– Enter your feedback in the appropriate category. (Tip: check that an entry doesn’t already exist)
– You have 20 votes. Use them to support specific feedback you think matters most. You can reallocate your votes over time by removing them from previously voted on items, or when your votes are returned to you once a feedback is addressed and closed by our team.
Thank you for your participation, and congrats for helping improve online media for millions around the world!
NOTE: If you are experiencing issues that feel like clear defects (links not working; layout breaking; poor performance; incorrect/irrelevant related interests displayed on articles, etc), please use the “Report Bug” link in the product rather than this feedback forum. Doing so will enable us to capture information from your session that will make it easier to debug the issue. Please use this feedback forum for suggestions/concerns about design and usability and to suggest product improvement ideas.

Use escape button to close article and fall back to article tile and not to top of page
1. For people who are right handed its easier to have escape button as an option to close a article page and go back to article tiles. So can we have both escape / back button to go back to previous page that contains the tiles
2. When we close the article using "Back / escape (assuming)" It loads the tiles page and it starts from the top again. User need to scroll down again to the tiles to continue skimming from where he left off. I think back button or escape should be done should that it take the…

Related content
Is there related content? It talks about her babies but don't show her pregnant or the babies. I know the article isn't org. content so are we just left with what that article says or is it possible to add any content to it?

Images not popping - should they
Should the small images at the top of a story expand? I would think if I clicked on them they would get bigger. I can't even tell what is happening in them?
Looking at article of the Today show not mentioning 9/11 (shame on them!)

Design for two kinds of Interest - Persistent and Non persistant
I think Interests there are two types of user interests
Type 1: Persistent - Here user basically declares his interests like his favorite team or actor or politician etc .... current zed design handles this well
Type 2: Non Persistent Interest - These are based on current trends / news
Example: Tornado Irine - People want news about this to be surfaced only when this item is treding. I dont want to add Irine in my interest and later have to manually clean on my interests.Few ideas to solve this
1. USe Thumbs up down to be integrated with…

Mashable infographic can't be viewed on Chrome
http://z9.yahoo.com/home/want-app-developer-heres-infographic-021425536.html
Infographic -- huge, tall but thin graphic -- is very small, unreadable (on Chrome browser/OSx) and clicking it doesn't take you to a larger version...and not clear how to view the graphic by some other mechanism. Had to go to the article, and then it was confusing because z9 displays the reduced-size infographic above the article, but mashable displays it below.

Could there be an automatic checkmark function for articles we've already read?
When we read an article and click on it, could that maybe prompt the tile to then change into a different color/shading or to display a checkmark or some symbol that tells me I already read it? So when I revisit, I can easily spot what I haven't read yet.
3 votesHi Beth, we’ve got this feature in our backlog, so hope to incorporate it in the next 4 weeks or so.

I want to be able to rearrange tiles
I want to be able to move the stories around relative to one another in each feed, some people are more visually oriented than others, and like to have things arranged in particular ways. Some might call it neurotic, but I think it would be a pretty cool feature.

What sorts of ways would you want to order the tiles in? Do you mean ability to sort them (say by recency, or popularity, or by interest), or do you actually want to order the tiles manually (and if so, why)?

Top Stories can't start with stuff that's 9 hours old
You can't call something "Top Stories" when the content that tops the stories is at a minimum hours old. There are items here that are 15 hours old, too. We're not delivering on the promise that we're relevant and timely to our users.
The industry research is clear on this -- when asked to rank what qualities users want in their news content, timeliness nearly always ranks at the top.

More images on Travel interest (and others)
Would be more interesting and engaging if there were more images

Kill the footer
Kill the Footer. Make the Footer a pull out layover instead. ie pull out the "feedback" or "report bug" abilities via a simple html5 pullout.

Recommended interests can not be added to existing collections
Currently, when interests are recommended at the end of an article - if a user adds them, they end up automatically added as a top level collection. When adding a recommended interest, the user should be allowed to add it to an existing collection

I can't respond to responses to my ideas
Feedback system, not z9: I paste feedback, the feedback is responded to, and I can't follow up with a clarification (no password doesn't work, my current known passwords don't work, and the change password functionality gives me a submit button but nowhere to enter a password.)

Thumbs up/down
I think it might be useful to add the thumbs up/down icons on articles in each section. That way, it's possible to see what you've liked or disliked as you skim. It's especially useful because you could see what you've read as well.
6 votesAbsolutely! Great suggestion and something we are planning. We want to give the user the ability to “triage” — quickly mark what what they want and what they don’t — at the summary/landing page level. Thanks for the feedback!

Accidental interest deletion can not be redon
I accidentally clicked on an interest when managing a collection - and that removes the interest from the collection without any warning. Then there is no way for me to recall what was the interest that I removed to be able to add it again
ideally there should be a confirmation check before removing an interest, or at least have that remove operation triggered by a specific icon (currently it is happening when you click anywhere in the row of the interest)
1 voteWe agree. Stay tuned for improvements to interest management.

the related interest topics shown are not related to my interest
there was no content for one of my interests (feng shui)
3 votesDo you have any good RSS feeds for Feng Shui? We can add them to our crawl. If you have any feeds you would like us to add, please post them to this bugzilla ticket:
